In 2022, I began a “Notes on the Bible and Religion” column, which appeared in several South Texas newspapers. I have compiled the fifty-two entries into a book.
From the Introduction: “I believe that the Bible is the greatest writing ever produced and that Israel’s unfinished story is the greatest story ever told. I cannot, however, prove these points, and I do not try to do so in this work. I have training in world religions, anthropology, biblical studies, history, theology, literary criticism, and some languages. I felt compelled to write a column about the Bible and religion, and, for what it’s worth, this is my offering.”
